The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is implementing an economic development plan to strengthen the goat dairy industry in the state and to expand goat milk supply.
Dairy Goat Field Day
- Goat farmers, lenders, milk processors, 4-H leaders, extension agents and goats enthusiasts should plan to attend a goat farm field day on Oct. 11 at the Ethel and James Jenson farm in Mt. Horeb. The event will address aspects of goat herd health, nutrition and current topics. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, share information, and learn how different farms operate. The field day is free to the public but advance registration is required so that sufficient materials are available for attendees. For more information and to register, call 608-224-5121.
